I'm guessing its not easy to check huh....well I'm talking with a shop right now and they are suggesting to get rid of those heads and install vortec heads? With a mild cam ...so many people have different combos but I'm looking for something dependable and powerful ...I like how it runs now but don't know how dependable it would be so yes I will be taking it apart soon ..I have 5000 for motor and rearend etc....so how hard would it be to be in the low 12's- high 11's?? But streetable nice running cruiser if such a thing lol...thanks for the. Welcoming

You asked about dependability and that is really just a measurement of time. It sounds like you just picked up this car so maybe you should give it some time and see what you like / dislike about it. As far as low 12's etc.. have you had it on the track yet? If so, what did it run?
