if chrome is good just sand it till dull use 320 wet dry paper and go over with a red 3 M pad till no shine. sand blasting is a messy and may not come clean off or just dip them like jerry saidIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip
