What about injectors? I've heard that if you use the 4.3 units that it will run lean and was just thinking about putting some Venom injectors in it (which oddly are the same part # between the V6 and 8)
We have used 65lb cop car injectors lifted on 350's and they do work fairly well.I wanted to warn you about the older Edelbrock systems sold on E-bay.The 3500 series is no longer supported by Edelbrock and programing on what might look like a good buy could become a problem.Edelbrock does have a forum with some decent info to surf and learn from over the coming months while you wait to do your swap.
