Actualy don't know the brand but have one in the junkyard tool box and one in the shop box.. Learned about them working on mororcycles. They work great and it gives you a chance to use your BFH for good. Also you can put a socket on them for breaking rusty things (nuts and bolts)

snap on s two sets 3/8 and 1/2 .all size screw heads a allens never use them have a cheap one rolling around in one of my tool boxs as well .i do not used them much i bet two times in the last 20years

I have a cheap one Phillips is ok but the flats bend on older stuff 5/16 hex . Picked it up at Napa .

When you say "impact screwdriver" are you referring to the old school manual handheld unit that you pre-load and whang with a hammer like this Hand Impact.jpg

or are you referring to the modern cordless "impact drivers" like this
dewalt driver.jpg that have become so popular for driving screws to a specific torque value?

Used mine man really need it! tryed to tap ( read hit the f**ck Damn hotit loose on the corner, you know pretty much shaved it down to nothing. got to remembe.. Captain calm as hel* walking up way up and said got it fixed yed? because the barge is fixing to run us over! So.. do so got it thank god for mechanical injectors!

I've got a Snap-on impact for removing screws and bolts, probably had it 30 years or so and it still works great.

Like Dave, I also have a Snap-on .Have had it long time. The thing about these tools is you don't use them everyday, but when you do need them, they save your ass.

Got mine in about '69 or maybe '70 but don't recall if it was mail order or picked up at a local auto parts store in Corpus Christi, Tx. No name, no markings, just a 1/2" driver with hex adapter and three or four bits.

These $20 gadgets work great. I picked up a handful of replacement inserts at a swap meet for virtually pennies each, and am showing a couple in the photo. Wear gloves - hammer whangs hurt - and my guarantee is that you WILL whang your hand ____ hard

I do have tools older than me so older than you is no problem I use my impact driver a lot in salvage yards

Yeah, Dave, I recall a time that I whanged my hand about three times in the same spot, each time with a little bit louder "splat" before I finally got the job done. Not long ago I picked up a "driller's hammer" Ames 1196400 3 Lb Hand Drill Hammer which is just a short handled three pounder with a peened face. It's easy to handle, has a nice sized face, enough weight for a good hit and helps eliminate the "splats".
