3/8 braided line for vacuum
Hi all -
Don't know much about braided line, but would like to replace my 3/8" black vacuum line, that goes from the front of my carb, to the valve cover - - - with braided line. Do they make/sell some nice end caps that will go over the nipple on my carb, and EKG valve? Or am I stuck with just clamps? Thanks all

Sumitt sells some caps that are fairly decent looking.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Spectre makes some though I used some #6 or 8 a/c hose ferrules, trimmed out for the worm drive screws. I've since removed them as a PITA whenever I wanted to do something. As Dave S said, Summit - Hose End Covers - SummitRacing.comDave W

Is this what you are after? You can do it using a piece of bradded line and a hose cover as mentioned.

If you look at the rotor you see the PCV sideways and showing hose side of the assembly.

AN is very easy to figure out.............everything is based on 16ths...............so 4/16= 1/4", 8/16=1/2" and all odd numbers are what they are already like 3/16 and 5/16............and when you get to bigger sizes like #20AN ,again you take 20over 16 and get 1-1/4".
This is how I had figured it out long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

Sunset Dart - Thanks! That makes sense. Before I thought they developed a new measurement system just to be a military contractor for 10 times as much as civilian stuff costs! That makes a ton of sense,I still have all my braided stuff in a bag, since it was such a pain to deal with, and I wanted to fire up my new engine asap. Now that I'll have time I might just try and tackle it. One frustrating thing the first go round was finding fittings in the right color scheme. I'm sort of simple is better, and wished they either came in just silver or black. But while hunting for all the different fitting, it's often red or blue as your only choice. I like the red/blue on a race looking motor. But there are other companies that make some nice color combos. I have titanium/black fittings on my wagon. They are made by Mr.Gasket and you can get them from Summit.................and yes, they do get expensive.
Lots of guys are running the all black fittings, and that look is cool too.

There are several who make black AN fittings, like Renegade and RedHorse. I get mine from Star Performance - great guys in a small shop who really know their stuff. Another thing is if you're using the SS sheath the KoulTool KOUL tools, LLC - Lake Havasu City, AZ save you lots of grief, and lots of sore fingers from puncturesRoger

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
