mounting the LT1 Computer ECM
I was wondering where you guys that have LT1's in your rod. Mounted the ECM. I have a Painless engine harness. I'm not sure how long the leads are for this. But
I just thought I could maybe get some ideas from you folks.
Thanks
Ryan

Just a tip....does your ECM have sealed connectors OR unsealed connectors? Look at the connectors on the harness that engages the ECM....does it have gaskets on the face and seals at the back where the wires exit? If so, the ECM can be mounted where it could be splashed with water. If there are no gaskets or seals visible, the ECM must be mounted in a dry location (inside the cab).

I use inside (away from engine heat) on the firewall forward of passenger seat in the area that probably could be called glove compartment area---heat/a/c I try to put in area between seats and trunk area with ducts forward under/between seats-- this gives me more room under dash and makes use of that area that is generally under utilized in front part of trunk

I like that idea of putting the AC behind the seat. You have a lot more room there. I never thought of that. See this is why it is good to ask stupid questions. You get GREAT answers on this site. Thanks Jerry!!!!1
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
