Thanks Gary and Don; I am running a double 100amp breaker out to my box from where two plugs come out.
That box has two 50amp breakers in it and I am running 8 gage wire but it only calls for 10 gage.
From what I under stand the breakers are to trip before the wire melts. This wire should carry
240 with no problems. I use the same plug with a 50 ft. extension cord on my 250 mig.
And that lays the sweetest beads of weld you'll ever see. I think it's just a bad motor.
Don it's not just the loading as well there's over 2 hours of travel time in to and back from Las Vegas.
Then I have to pick the thing straite up and I can't do it by myself so I'll have to wait on someone to come
out and help me. It's just easier for me to wait 2 days and see what the problem is.
I really don't want to start it back up because it was still running when I shut it off, I know to check the drawing
amp's, it will have to run. I'll let thier tech turn it on, only after he checks the power supply out and confirms what
I already know. It's getting 242 at the compressor switch where it turns on.
