hey guys I have been toying around with the thought of converting my monte from an auto to a 5speed.. current set up is 402bb B&M TH400 full manual revers pattern 3200 rpm stall eaton with 3.08 gear . I would like to go to a t5 and a 4.11 gear. what you guys think????:confused:
with a big block and a heavy car, I'd suggest something beefier then the T5....Even the "World Class" version breaks easy. A TKO might be a better choice for your application. Once you run with the overdrive 5 speed, you'll really learn to like the dual role a 5 speed will do...lots of good low gears to get things moving and a long winded 5th gear to help with the RPM and fuel mileage!!!!!!
Besides, with a 5 speed, you'll no longer be "shiftless"!!!!!!!!!:LOL::LOL:
Yeah the T5's aren't going to get it done.
