I have quick question for the Holley guru's. One of the guys I now work with has a race boat that he is taking out in the morning to a race, one of his crew has just informed him that on this race they're going to try running with the secondaries power valve plugged off. When he told me that it just didn't make sense to me, so myself & the owner/driver of the boat are questioning what are the benefits/disadvantages, pros/cons of this set up. The motor set up is a 16.4:1, 509ci. Chevy & the carb is a 1150 Dominator, that's all of the info on the motor I have at this time. His crew member seems to be totally commited to this idea but it just doesn't sound right to me. I won't be going to the race, gotta work, but I told the owner that I would try to get an answer for him, so here we are. Sorry bout not checking the boards as often as I used to, at the first of the year I took a new job up here in Wa. at the Coulee Dam, and moving family from Vegas to here and getting settled has been longer than I thought it would be. I still don't have any of my projects up here yet . Thanks for the help guys.
