Hey everyone, wondering what people think about March Pulley kits. The 41 Chrysler(37 Chevy nose) has a cheap mount system, that has broken twice, this time it broke the bolt off in the upper outboard boss on the head.
Its only got one hard point, the upper left water pump bolt, the other is the turnbuckle adjuster that bolted to the head, the alternator has always shook around.
What does everyone think about March and the brackets/Serp systems they sell?
I have no experience with their product but I do have some experience with their phone service. They are the rudest, least helpful company I have ever dealt with. Their factory is 30 miles from me and I have tried to get help from them twice, to buy their products, and the blew me off both times. I offered to visit their place to discuss it and they told me "don't come, we only sell wholesale, goodbye."
So guess whose pulleys I will never use, regardless of how good they might be. :mad:

i used some of there stuff on customer s builds. its ok but for my stuff i not that fancy $$$ so i make all my stuff

For my SBF setup their v-belt system with water pump, AC, Alternator, brackets, pulleys & belts was $1395 and it is ~2" shorter than anything else out there. March makes a custom front cover vs using OEM which adds a bunch to their price. Rocky makes lots of quality parts for good value - I used their trunk support, too.Quote:

Gee, you would think that their lousy phone attitude might at least be offset by building a good product. Maybe they did me a favor by blowing me off. :rolleyes:

A slight hijack - I'm considering a right side, low mount alternator bracket on my SBF 5.0 if for no other reason but to make the distributor more accessible. Besides making my own, which I did on my 351W 'bucket, any GOOD vendors come to mind??
You may want to look at (Streetrodbracketry.com) I have seen them set up at the Decatur Swap Meet the past couple of years. He has small block stuff for Ford/Chevy/Olds. No big block chevy stuff yet. Not an endorsement, an option.

Roger - I had looked at Speedway and that one didn't 'pop up' for some reason. Not bad - except pricy for them
Dave - their @#$% catalog wont open completely. I already have their brackets and ones I have mounted the alt. so far over the dist. that I couldn't even pull the cap. Maybe they have one better now - if I can get their cat to open, I'll see
