    It depends on the output amps.....less than 30amps, all 110 volt models run clean at 3/16th max after that.....you are overworking the unit for nothing....at best 30 amps or more is better.......... Same with migs. ....the 110volts say they are good up to 1/4 but you are running the unit at max.....I just bought a mig and spent the extra money and bought the 220 Lincoln power mig 180.....the most I will be using the unit is about 70% of its max.....easier on the machine as well as on the amp draw.

    For what you are wanting to cut that one should be fine, and the price is certainly not out of line, if it works ok.
