Nitrous question

I got a nitrous kit that needs fuel along with the nitrous i was wondering if it would be okay for me to y off at the tank for another electric fuel pump for the nitrous or put another line in the tank for it and mabye y off at the motor before the mechanical pump with the electric i dont know what would be the best way to do this but i want to use 2 pumps just to be safe thanks.

you should run another line. your fuel volume of one feed is to small to start with . i use An 10

One of our local tracks switched to AHRA here a few years back, so nitrous is acceptable--I used to use the Y connection deal, but the last few cars I've done have gone to a separate 4 gallon cell, pump, lines, and regulator to feed the fuel solenoids, even went with a water-alcohol injection system on one car to engage with the nitrous and cut down the amount of timing retard used on the big end. I'm also a firm believer in a Nitrous Timer Box and a Timing Retard Box! With the correct pieces and components in place it's both fast and safe when used in the amount the rest of the engine is designed for!!!!

Don't do like some and put a 250 shot into a stock bottom end engine!!!!!! ---and please don't ask how I learned this!!!!!!

he never said how big of a shot but still a Y off you better have a big feed line to be safe as you can be with a small shot Nos . but two feeds are better as every fitting can slow fuel flow down.last car i did used a small alum cell on the rad support to feed the Nos

My experience has been that Nitrous is more addictive then heroin!!!! A small shot today leads to putting in the biggest pills later...might as well get the good stuff the first time and try not to grenade anything right away!!! Fool around here locally bolted a Fogger on a bone stock 290 hp crate motor from the chebbie dealier--bye bye crate motor!!!!!

well that sounds good Gary i am not a user of the stuff but build engines for guys that do and the bottom line is the guy you pull up to at the line is and will use.. so you better have more then a knife at a gun fight when looking past 1200HP and i do fixed the melt down,s if things go way wrong with the stuff
