Do ya think a 15x8.5 rim is too wide for the front of the 64' belair??
You might want to check your upper and lower a-arm bushings. My guess is that they are old, cracked and is not centered anymore.
Could also be the body bushings to the frame letting the body shift if the bolts are a bit loose.

I'm with Jerry. Why would you want to run 8.5" wide wheels on the front of that car? I would think the look just cannot be right.... That said, I still believe that your front end components (ball joints, a-arm bushings, tie rod ends, etc) are not 100%. Fix the front end, get it aligned, then come back.Quote:

Yup,agree...if it isnt out of whack,it soon will be..A lot of weight on the front end with a wide tire like that,and dodgy ball joints/bushes,it will destroy itself,I think..Jerry's right..Quote:

so sell the ones that don't fit---you didn't get a good deal, you got ripped by your own doing--you actually have $600 into 2 rear tires/wheels with 2 spare tire/wheels for the rear end
Drove the car to work and back today and drove fine, still has the slight rub when backing out but other than that its good....i am gonna take it to a friend who's a mechanic and were gonna get under to take a look...i do have all new A frame bushings an i am gonna get new bushings and ball joints when i sell my prostars.....But like i said it does ride and drive great
