Dual Fuel Tanks
Ok here is a question,if I am running a fuel tank in the cowl area(model a original)could you also place another tank in line lower on the chassis and would it have to be vented above the original tank, or vented at all.Would like to add fuel amount without having to take away from the rear seat area as so many A owners seem to do.Or who nows of a narrow tall tank that fits in the rear of a A sedan.Ideas please.thanks

lower tank need s a vent it not will not fill fast you could run a check valve roll over valve with the end running to the vent from the first tank .will the second tank have a filler neck ? you could pump fuel from the first tank to the second tank with a inline electric pump ? but that would add some problems have to think about it but at the least it will need a vent you will never fill it or get fuel outIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

Yeh that was what I was thinking Pat,thanks.Also thought that I would still need to put a larger diameter outlet on the original tank for the fuel to get to the lower tank.Was thinking along the lines of a moon tank down on the chassis rails,but will keep thinking.Thanks.

I'm not sure it would be narrow enough of a tank, but RCI makes an aluminum tank that is tall and narrow, used one in the Plymouth I'm doing. It comes with filler neck and cap, supply, return, and vent connections all on the top of the tank. Got mine from Summit, might look at one and see if the dimensions would be right????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Look at Speedway. They have several - here's 16 gallon version Universal Aluminum Fuel Tank - Speedway Motors, America's Oldest Speed Shop.
Tanks, Inc have several universal tanks as well Universal Fuel Tanks
I wont recommend their splash shield tanks - those become the scrub line for the car. Even adding a rear mounted '32 style has some drawbacks, but at least if you get hit and it erupts in flame, it's in back of you. This is mine - DSC_0030.JPG
Dagle offers a kit or you can reverse engineer one like I ended up doing gas tank kits.Dave W

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
