Just wondering..

i have four bumpers for a 37 Ford. Rechroming them is way to expensive for me. I heard from more than a few that the Briz bumper is more trouble. I was wondering has anyone ever sanded theres out to smooth, and polished the steel?? I could always put a clear epoxy over them.. Otherwise I will have to paint them the color of the car.

Have you thought about getting them powdercoated? They have some powder that is shiny like polished aluminum or even match up to the color of the car.

A real fine metalflake silver always looks nice on bumpers.

Thanks. I will look into both. I am even thinking of shorting. The brackets enough to allow the bumpers. To go behind the fenders. I would only need about 1/2" clearance to prevent rubbing.
