    Yes. Its a sagi. gear box. If you look at many vehicles that have this box, they are in many different positions. Like vans, trucks,etc. I have a 1952 White Semi I chopped 4 inches chanled 5inches, 2x4 custom frame. The front and rear axlex are from a 72 winnebago motor home, the doors are 8 inches off the ground. It will look like a semi when done.

    Saw one something like you describe when we were in California a couple of years back - a cut down Peterbilt (I think) that had all the proportions right, and sat very low. It was cruising down the street as we left the airport, and there was no chance to get a photo but it was super cool. Looking forward to seeing pictures of yours when you get a chance to post some.
