Someone should build a streetrod out of this

Found two of these on my last trip to Speedway Auto Salvage over by Gateway International Racetrack in Illinois. Both powered by slant six Dodge motors and in decent shape. They both said "Lambert International Airport" on the side. Someone grab them before they disappear; lots of potential!

Those are tugs for hauling around equipment for start-ups on jets and push backs on planes.They will move along with the rear end gear ratios at about 35 mph.The do turn on a dime,but have a habit of rolling over.

Ah-don't ask why I know about the rolling over thingie.LOL.

Still trying to picture something in my mind to turn these into..(yea small picture) and uh..1gary, I hate to ask.. but inquiring minds want to know. Just had an Idea, should make an excellent golf cart / greens keeper.

Talk about ruts on the fairways & greens!! Those things weigh about five tons to have traction to push/pull aircraft.

Every once in a while one of those show up on E Bay with a first generation HEMI.

One of the GM dealers in town uses one to push vehicles into their shop,rattel canned it flat black and flames.

Yeah, we had one of those when I was at NAS Corpus Christi and it was the only one on base with the Hemi. The "governor" was a 5/16" bolt "calibrated" as a throttle stop to limit top speed to 30mph in high. Funny thing, that bolt kept getting bent to the side....;) We got one of the Anhauser Busch "Eagle" stickers, a bald eagle in flight with about 24" wingspan superimposed over the "A" for Anhauser and stuck it on the back panel between the tail/brake lights. It was known as "Super Tractor" all over the base:LOL: Stayed there for about a month before word came down from the flight ops one day to "get that beer advertisement off of that tractor." Tried to tell them it was "A" for America, but ended up peeling it off in pieces....:(**):LOL:

we have one at the boat yard in line 6.there was a guy that work at that boat yard that could get it to do wheel stands with it all the time you may know him :) he also speed shifted the 3 cylinder diesel tractors ....animal :D i think held the longest wheel stand with a 268 sea ray hitch to the back of a tractor
