Rebuilt Holly
Well I guess you get what you pay for. I bought a 750 Holley vac. secondaries for the Nova. It was suposed to have a 780 but I figured it should work just fine. I installed it and it ran . It ran like crap So I took it off and started to check it out. It wasn't a 750 it is a 780 what its suposed to be. We took it apart and it was filthy inside. the Accelerator pump was bad and out of adjustment. The ball check in the acc.pump was stuck. The jets were 2 numbers smaller than what they were suposed to be. After all that we check the secondaries they wouldn't open the shaft was stuck, so I took it all apart and cleaned the bores and polished the shaft. Tomorrow I will put it back together and see how it runs then. Now that I have that off my chest I hope I never see this guy again I wouldn't let him rebuild a baby rattleCharlie
Lovin' what I do and doing what I love

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
