 Hey everyone!

I plan on installing a true dual exhaust system on my truck this summer and would like to run a few things by you guys/gals before I get started.

No after market company makes a true dual exhaust system for my 2006 Nissan Titan (5.6L V8) so I'm making my own via a pipe kit I have discovered on Summit's website.

The kit has an x-pipe and optional headers dumps already installed (stainless pipe). I'm keeping the pipe size at the stock 2.5in as I want to retain the truck's low end torque as much as possible. I decided to go with a dual set up so she can breathe a little better. See link. Pypes Performance Exhaust XVX10 - Pypes X-Change X-Pipes - Overview - SummitRacing.com

So my question to yall is, if Magnaflow offers kits that use a single muffler sized at 5x8x18 to handle all 8 cylinders, should I run a smaller muffler (each muffler would handle 4 cylinders worth of exhaust in the kit I'm looking at) as not too loose too much exhaust back pressure or say forget it and run two 5x8x18 Magnaflow mufflers?

I cannot afford the exhaust kits that are available for my truck in the after market (they start at around $650) so I figured Id weld in my own. Not to mention the smooth bends and "straight through" exhaust flow look of this kit looks superior to anything I have seen yet.

Thanks everyone!Carry On My Wayward Son
