So we got her cleaned up and to be honest you are right she really doesn't need much work at all. The interior is all there a little rough and I have hired an interior guy who will be redoing it from scratch(thats right hand stitched!). I figured most of all these beauties have been cut and turned into rods, not very many originals left! She is all original as you can see and she will stay that way. I cleaned up the wheels and they were painted as you can see just for now. I need to work on the chrome and am running around looking for original rubber. I pulled the running boards off as you can see in the one pic and they have been sandblasted and primed and unfortunately I could not locate anyone doing the rubber for them so I had them covered in bed liner so they will stay perfect forever. If I find the mats that I can attach later I will, but for now this will do. I will post pics of the beaut with the cleaned up covered boards.

I did find some rubber for the vehicle but I am looking for help locating the following rubber:

Rubber mats for the running boards (not attached to the boards), Trunk weather striping, rear windshield weather striping, screw on handles for the rear ash tray lids(held on by 2 screws). There are a few other things but I cannot remember at this moment. By the way she is running, and driving! Need to clean the carbs before any long rides, when she is idling and you slowly give her gas she will try and stall, have to give her a good push of fuel.

As far as interior I am going with the original camel color material, gonna try and clean up the dash and repaint the brown lines in the middle. The window frames inside are metal with a woodgrain paint on finish (like the dash) which I am not sure how I am to replicate that. the 2 front need to be re done the 2 rear are in good shape and can get by, but if I cannot get them redone I may have to pull them and polish them to chrome but again I really don't want to do it, I want her to be as close to original as when she rolled off the floor. Thanks for all the great comments, I will be posting updates as they come. I did not have the notification of reply button clicked so I did not know anyone had replied. Thanks again, and any help locating those parts I would appreciate.

Hi Awesome 39 dodge. I have an almost identical one.

Mine is a D-11 special yours is a D-11 DeLux. The color on the trim of the dash is a deep burgundy not brown. That trim color is found on the hub caps and the bumper guards too. There is a lot of rubber parts available from Steele rubber google it and you will find most of the rubber. Running boards are a different problem they were Vulcanized to the boards and there are two people that can restore them one is Hunley Acuff in Georgia I think. The other is in Canada runningboardmats.com I think. They are pretty expensive to restore. Yours is in very nice shape. Mine is the same color battleship gray with a camel interior too.

Welcome to CHR! Unfortunately vicmachese hasn't been on the forum for almost two years now (from his Profile, Last Activity). You might try sending him a PM or e-mail? Kind of doubtful he'll see this thread.

Hello! Thank god this awesome forum emails you when there is a post in one of your threads. I would love to see yours. From my serial number mine comes back as a special. I was told if it was a deluxe there would also be more chrome. Can you post pics of yours?

Here is an updated picture. The interior is done. new carpet, new headliner, new door panes new seats all to original specs. The only thing that has not been done is the dash and window frames. I still need to to rims to match the original spare. I hope you like!
