B&M supercharger snout pully question

Hi guys, seems i have struck a problem with my supercharger setup, I have held a straight edge across the crank which is fitted with a serpentine belt pulley and lined it up with the snout pulley, they don;t line up. see pics.
the blower is a B&M unit i am not too sure what size, is there any way around this problem, do b&m make a different size or offset pulley that might help me to solve this problem, or will i need to have my manifold modified to move the blower forward.
anyone have any ideas as to how i can solve this problem. :(

Looks like it's 33/34 mm away from lining up. Here's the thing, I have a policy that says don't buy anything until you figure out how you're gonna sell it. I also have a policy that says don't modify anything until you figure out how you're gonna sell it. These policies are in place due to taking a beating on stuff through many decades. Before I cleaned out a few years ago, I had shelves full of multi-hundred dollar items that were custom and would only work on a certain application (and of course, I was the only one on the planet with that particular application).

What I'm saying is.....try to make this work without altering the blower in any way. I might be thinking about making an adapter that is built like the leaning tower of Pisa. This would move the blower to the front and all you'd have in custom pieces would be the adapter. I don't know how crafty you are, but I could see making one using gaskets for templates for less than 50 dollars (assuming you weld it up yourself or have a mate weld it).

Its only about 10 or 11mm lol
what i was thinking is that b&m make a few different size pulleys 6 grove 8,10,12,16 etc etc. If i could get a 10 or 12 grove pulley and run the belt to the front of the pulley it would solve my problem, I could then put the pulley in the lathe and remove the remaining unused groves from the rear of the pulley to tidy it all up again, but what i need to find out is weather the pulleys that have more groves are going to protrude forward and solve my problem or if they will step back leaving me with the same problem, if they protrude forward i will be able to get away with a 10 grove pulley and still run the 6 grove serpentine belt then just machine the groves i am not going to use off.
does this make sense. :)
now all i need to do is search out who supplies these pulleys and ask for some measurements.

10 groove pulley = Dam' expensive part !!!!!!

Is there a "offset" to the current pulley? Try removing and re-installing backwards?

I just removed the pully to see if it could be reversed, no such luck.
it slides into the snout on a keyway both the six and ten grove pullys in the link above don't seem to show a keyway, or the piece on the back of the pully that slides into the snout.

Oh well.. it was a thought!

This may not apply here, but on our scavaging pump/blowers it was required that we set the pulleys at a distance from each other, read one pulley would drive other pulley axially. We would set the distance with shims placed behind the pulleys, these are also single key hubs/Pulleys.

I'm thinking the simplest deal would be to get the crankshaft pulley where you need it by shimming or taking off. Of course that might meen adjusting the water pump and alternator pulleys or mountings also.

I think you got it nailed down with that ten grove pulley, that way it doesn't throw anything else off, no modifications ether.

Hi tech, I missed out by a buck...........my own fault for not putting a higher bid in the first place, i missed the end of auction.
I have sent jegs performance a message to try and find out if these are compatible with the b&m ones.

on closer inspection of my old 6 rib pulley i noticed that it is pretty worn and the ribs are like razorblades, so i am guessing that a second hand one might be worn as well.
the inside diameter of my pulley where the key way is...............is 21mm so i am hoping the ones in the link above that jegs have are the same size. i will have to wait until i hear from jegs to see if it will fit.

part number on the pulley you are looking for.They are going to need some
dimensions off your supercharger

So it looks like i need to do a few measurements and give them a call.
