The only threaded opening that i recall on the stromberg ww is the vacuum fitting in the base. The strombergs i have done have been on chevies, maybe the fitting is a studebaker thing. You aren't confused with the carter 2gc are you, it has a threaded boss up high on the back where a large screw goes in and it is a controlled vacuum leak from the base of the carb to above the venturi. It has a special bull-nosed screw, large 7/16 or more.

Thanks to everyone for the input. And to Whiplash23T, thanks for the kind words on the T. I don't post much but I check in just about every day to see whats going on.
