Rear wheel back Spacing
46 chevy truck. Have noticed that any left turn slight to moderate causes a squeek, squeek, squeek. Nothing rubbing in the front. Found 1/2" to 3/4" rub marking on the rear tires. Tires are rubbing on the bed. This is from the side of the tire toward the first tread. S10 rearend. Back spacing of the rim is 3" and it has 1.25" wheel spacers. Assuming the S10 is user friendly for this application I am thinking the rear wheels were the wrong ones for the application. I looks like there is an 1" from the outside edge of the tire to the inside of the fender. Rims are ARE-550 17x9.5,tires 275/40 R17 98W. I don't think the solution is more spacing. What is the best way to approach this? As I look at these numbers it looks like I need an 8.5" wide rim or super deep dished rim??
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
