1980-up 460's are Detroit balanced, there's a weight on the ring gear. The 429 doesn't have a weight. You need a 429 flywheel, or ring gear with an automatic.
I assume the F700 was a standard trans, and the motorhome is an automatic? If so, you might be able to remove the weight from the 460 'wheel, but a new one is cheap, and you probably need a new ring gear anyway.Last edited by R Pope; 09-27-2010 at 03:22 AM.
