Contact Jefferies Autobody in Nor-Cal He, makes 'em for a 40
Flat glass can be tapered at the join to give a one-piece look. A little clear silly putty to seal the gap and you're done.
Hey 1940, you didn't say if you're trying to do the one-piece curved glass or a V-butt windshield. I remember seeing a "how to" article in Streetrodder Magazine on that in the last couple of years or so. Here the contact info for Jefferis that was mentioned earlier....http://www.onepiececurved.com/index....&page=services
Have a friend who owns one "uninstalled". Bought it from Southern Rods and Parts. It will not fit the opening without some mods to the opening. They would not allow him to return it, so it is available. I have V butted the windshield glass in my last two 40's, but the next will retain original divider bar I think.
I did a 36 Chevy coupe about 4 years ago and used a Speedway mustang II setup, Went on pretty easy and once i had the springs & shocks dialed in was real smooth and nice. good price too :)
Saw him at the street rod nats here in Nor Cal, looked good on the display...!
