Thread: Calling all Mopar Fans!! I need HELP

My '41 Plymouth B-Coupe has a Mopar front clip. The problem is that none of the previous owners/builders documented their mods so I don't know what it's out of. It has large drums so it's probably earlier '70's or older, and likely from a larger car. It's a torsion bar set-up (longitudinal style) with the adjustment in the lower control arm. I found a similar clip in an older Satellite but it had discs and was so rotted out that I couldn't tell for sure.

That might be good. It might make for an "easy" disc conversion.

Any help is really appreciated!

Got picks of the clip/undercarriage? What is the track width? Satellites(65-74) are B body(62-79) Some other B models to compare to would be Savoy('62-'64), Belvedere('62-'70), Road Runner('68-'75), Fury('62-'64, '75-'78), Dart('62), Polara('62-'64), 220('63-'64 Canada only) 330/440('63-'64), Coronet('65-'76), Charger('66-'78), Monaco('77-'78), Magnum('78-'79), Cordoba('75-'79) 300('79)

What is it you want to do besides disc conversion? What drivetrain is in it, does it look to be caried over with the clip. Check the casting # on the block, you might get lucky and it's the donor clips accompanying motor.

Depending on the size and such, it could even be from an older ('57 & newer) Mopar. You might try one of the forums at Allpar.com. If you could get a pic or two, and some measurements, I'll bet someone could tell you what it's out of.

The coupe's got a SBC. Yeah, someone decided to go cheap and easy on the power train. I was kinda bumbed when I bought the car. With the clip out of a large Mopar I could have used a crate 360 that my brother has.

I haven't measured the track yet, but will post the measurements as soon as I do.

Besides a future disc conversion, it would be nice to know what the clip is out of when buying parts.

My brother owns three Hemi mopars. A Coronet, a Belvedere and a GTX (check out my picture gallery). I'll see if any match my clip.
Boy, I wonder if he'd consider pulling one of his as a donor for my coupe, engine and all! What do you think?
