    Not actually Matt, although it would work for that it is meant to go in the ends of the boots to seal out moisture and to keep the boots from seizing to the spark plugs.

    I just use a little washing up liquid.
    Its aweful lonesome in the saddle since my horse died.

    actually, the instructions had both purposes listed.. I used the included grease for putting the boots on. and some better dielectric grease for the ends

    I found that if you put some of that silicone grease on the wire and also a dab into the hole of the boot it makes it so much easier to slide on than if you just lube up the wire itself. The extra little bit really helps it slide on. Holding the boot and wire with rags helps too, and you can use pliers to pull more through once the end starts showing through.

    first one took about 15 minutes. the rest took about 5 minutes each. isn't that always the way. hands are really sore today but i am really pleased with the job.
