Hi Guys,I just install a posi rear in my 51 Chevy. Its a 456 8.5 posi. The motor is a 350/365hp with 3 1/2 headers/outlaw mufflers. The trans is a 350 turbo and in not sure on the stall speed. The tires are 4 inch by 26 in front and 10 inch by 28 rear cheater slicks. I know the 456 is way too big but my question is whats the best stall speed converter for this car now as it stands? Thanks for any help...Davey

well cam size .carb gear .and car weight has to do with stall so the cam specs are needed
Not sure of specs because engine wasnt done by me. Carb is only 600 cfm holley. Heads are 202. Thanks,Davey
See where that cam makes its power in conjuction with car weight and gear have a ton to do with the stall of the coverter chum. Your really throwing darts with a blindfold on w/out them. Actually to get everything right with em can be a trick by times but w/out:CRY:Quote:

also remember that a high stall converter makes more heat. you should have a separate cooler for it and not just run through the radiator like a stock one.
