dimmer switch problem
Good morning to all.
I own a 1962 ford thunderbird convertible which recently I have no low beam. These our halagen lights all four of them. When I engage the dimmer to high all four lights come on when I press the floor switch to lower beam they all shut off. This is what I have done so far. Test the light plug circuit I have voltage there. Tested the female plug that gets attached to the dimmer switch and have 12 volts there. Went to nappa and bought another dimmer switch still no low beam lights. Even jumped the dimmer by hooking the positive lead to the positivemale prong of the switch and started to touch the outside prongs on the switch itself still nothing. Could it be posiable the the nappa store switch was faulty. Need some help. If anyone knows olms lay I would like to hook my DVM up to the dimmer by itself and test those leads. I no the two to the outside our the hi and low and the middle prong is the hot one. Larry
Dammit, another good ol boy gone. Condolence to the family. RIP Mike
