Hi I am rewiring my 40 Ford with a Painless wiring harness.
My car has an older GM tilt steering column without the ignition switch on the column.
The problem is that the previous owner of the car did not retain the factory multi plug for the wires coming out of the column.
The colour codes on the wires do not mach the colour codes specified in the harness instructions or the information I have found on the Internet.
The colour codes on the wires on my column is as follows:
Grey
Black/light blue (blue)
Black/dark blue (blue)
Blue
Brown
Purple/yellow
Black/yellow
Black/white
Green
Can anybody help me to figure out what wire goes where?
