Not smart, I do not know if the bell housing will work but u have a 4X4 engine that is stroked and bored to produce high torq at the low end, and the firebird engine is bored to produce high Hp's at midrange. Example: a 97' F150 4.6 has 245 Hp but has over 375 ft pounds of torq but the same engine in a car version makes over 300 Hp but less than 250 ft pounds of torq. I do belive the mounts match
