Thread: Air bags deployed -whats next ?

Thanks for come backs . I went to Delaware DMV yesterday and they go by the Fed regs. There is a cut off date , cars older than the date CAN be titled as a salvaged vehicle and DO NOT need air bags replaced . cars newer than the date must have the drivers bag replaced . I left there with the date 1997 in my brain ,when I got home I had a senior moment and couldn't remember if it was 1997 and older or 19977and newer . as my daughters car is a 1997 I need to know exactly . So hat in hand and trying not too look too stupid I am going back to DMV today and get it right this time . They also suggested before I buy the car back from the ins co I run it thru the inspection lane to make sure it will pass inspection .
