Stockton Wheel = has lots of negative feedback, in the VW circles.
Eric Vaughn = IS THE GUY! He narrowed some front Porsche wheels for my racing buddy and they were NICEl.
The wheels on a Pantera were Campagnolo. If it were me, I would not cut up a very nice Campy wheel. I never knew they were Mag, and not aluminum? You will need to get the coating off before welding.
