guys I thnk I asked this as part of a bigger post. thought I'd seperate to get answers. car back halved, frame is gone and rollcage tied in. running th fuel line from the fuel cell, would you just drill the cage and attach the rubber lined clips for the fuel line to there same as if it were theframe? does that violate NHRA rules? (haven't got a copy of the book yet)
Either that, or install a small L bracket to attach the clamps to.... A small hole for a screw won't break any rules, I just don't like having holes in a round tube rail as it's a place for moisture to enter the tube eventually creating rust inside the tube.
I've run fuel lines thru the tubes---I like to think that I can run the car thru thr tullies and not tear anything off---also not catch anything with a jack or jack stands
well I'm running stainless hard line, so through the tubes won't work. Dave you're saying weld brackets on? that's an idea, hadn't thought of that.
Yup, that's how I do it Dago--takes a bit more time but makes for a much better install...Also, mount the fuel line so that it is above the frame rail, as Jerry mentioned, sure beats ripping them off the bottom of the car!Quote:

Why not two adel clamps at each point, one sized to go around the cage, and the second sized for the line held with a common bolt? Done that way in airplanes to position hoses and flexible lines around the accessory section. I don't like drilling holes in the tube.
good note on above frame, this thing sits pretty low. Roger I hadn't thought of that, but will see if we have any clamps that size.
If running the line under the car won't work out for you---you can put another tube thru the inside portion of the body and run the tube inside that---also the fuel line should be protected past the flywheel area
