Search parts and shipping option with Insurance

Hello together. I have 2 questions for you. I told you already that I am living in Germany. It's difficult to order special parts. Still I have ordered a Grill shell and inlay in the USA. The shop owner will send it with USPS. He told me that an International shipping with shipping insurance is not possible. Did somebody know a security delivery option for me?

The second Question
I'm searching a chopped 1932 tudor sedan body. It should not necessarily be a steel body. It must not necessarily have an inner frame. I need only the body. Could somebody give me a good website adress?

Well rather than shipping general mail, I would ask him if he could ship it via courier, such as UPS, Purolater, DHF, or any of those.

Or try Fedex

You have to weight your options, if you choose a courier your going to get nailed with duty fees, but you`ll have insurance and proper tracking, if you go USPS, you`ll probablly avoid duty fees.With USPS you should still be able to get insurance and get a tracking # tho

The post office is cheaper, does offer some tracking on international items and does offer insurance. But the sender has to be willing to go to the post office and deal with it, that is the biggest issue, at least in my town its a PITA to deal with

I really don't understand the problem shipping overseas via the USPS. The only requirement is to fill out a customs form, which is probably needed for any of the other companies. I have have shipped to Australia and Europe with no problems. I got something going to Brazil and I don't expect any problems with USPS.

There is insurance on USPS int'l shipping. But it may be limited. Try www.usps.com.
