Hi All,
I am looking to get an electric fan. I have a stock SBC 350 in a 1931 Model A Sedan. What is the smallest fan and CFM's I could get away with to keep the engine cool?
Thanks,
Nazs

Do you have enough room for a puller fan or are you going to mount it to the front for a pusher? If your going to use it as a puller fan do you have a shroud for your radiator?
I was hoping to put it in front as a pusher. As of now if i were to put it as a puller i do not have a shroud. But if someone had some recommendations for both types i would appreciate it.
It does not work that way, for me anyways. You cant use the smallest you can get away with. The Texas summers eats small electric fans for lunch.:D Theres a link ,Ill find it if you want i it, that showed a Tuarus fan being the most single fan cfm's that you can get on the cheap from the junk yard. I would go with no less cfm's then that for trouble free cooling.
yes please post the link if you can find it. I am in California and we have hot summers.
You can start here , http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/...-double-s.html , to get you going they also come with a shroud. Dont know if they will fit your radiator but these and the LS1 fans are recommended for a cheap upgrade. Of course if you have the cash you can drop 500 dollars and a complete set up.
If you can make it fit, the Lincoln fans are really great. Check out this ebay link:

I would check your local yards, when I checked for the one I bought, it only cost $15.00, then found out I could have gotten it for $10.00 else where!

Another good company is flex-a lite. I'm running 2 pushers in my 37 chevy and they put out about 3,000cfm.
Good call on the junk yard - although they're not near as nice as they used to be about letting us hot rodders go pull our own stuff!
We still have a couple "U-Pull-It" yards, but they tend to have some real "picked over" cars and the electric fans seem to be one of the first items that people grab..
If you are willing to spend a little more and want a reliable fan I would go Spal and would also do puller if you can get away with it.
