New Project- 1970 Chevy Nova

Here it is guys, a bit rougher than we had hoped but nothing that some labor and money (of course money) can't take care of. Right now priority is getting it running, going forward I'd like to make sure it is ready to go to the track. I read here that harnesses are dated so not to get them yet, but I do need a seatbelt of some sort so...

Punch list:
1. fuel line plumbing, from cell to new fuel pump
2. reweld back half to frame (or at least clean and touch up their welds, they don't look that nice)
3. cut the rear fenders to give the tires enough space
4. relocate battery
5. connect electrical, gauges etc.
6. one front brake line, one power steering line
7. lengthen motor mounts for header clearance, notch frame for header clearance
8. change transmission crossmember so we can have exaust run
9. install a drive shaft.

that's just off the top of my head!!!!

What kind of wrench do I need to adjust these shocks?

the back of the cage comes down through the aluminum work in back and ties underneath to the frame where it was cutoff, but is this sufficient in the front? looks like it is just welded to the floor.

what do I run my fuel line and battery cables along since the frame is gone? the new tube steel? Is it okay to drill adel fittings into that?

Whole lotta fun here!! As to your roll cage question - looks to me like it's welded to a plate that is, in turn, welded to the floor. Anything on the underside? If it's just to sheet metal, that's a bit light - in my opinion.

At any rate, this will be a great project. Lot's of the hard work has been done.

Yeah -I'm thinking frame as well - lot's of Nova experts here that will have some thoughts..

are you going to leave the body dowb played. except for the meats, it looks like a sleeper. I like it

Yeah keith, other than paint down the line no real plans to modify the body. for right now just going to kill the rust and primer those areas.
