Is it going to be OK to use 1/4 thick 2 inch wide belt rubber.
Between my body and Frame? It's on a 34 ford coupe. I plan
on running boards. So I don't want to throw the stock mounting
hole's off.

I think you want something that will not compress over time. If it does, it's going to change your "hood gap and door adjustments".
But then there is all kinds of different rubber density?
Scroll down on this page about 1/3 of the way and look for "Frame Webbing and Anti-Squeak". That's what you should use. Do it right with the right stuff.....
