What fords came with the 8.8" & 9" rears? I want to replace the 10 bolt (out of a 66 GTO) rear with either one of the two. I haven't even put my coupe on the road yet and already thinking of changing rears; I'm thinking the 10 bolt won't last long behind a 461 and m20 muncie. Right now the 10 bolt is 53 3/4" between backing plates and I am hoping the ford rears are a little narrower. Also, which of the two would be stronger. Thanks in advance for the help.
