you should spot were the set screws are with a spade drill in to the shaft then use a thread locker on setsIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

Just so you know in case you plan to make a pass at Firebird.....
2009 NHRA Rulebook:
General Regulations 3.3, Steering....
".....All fasteners must be of a positive nature; no roll or pressed pins, no ball lock pins, set screws, etc."
We require all joints to be equipped with through-bolts and nuts on all connections except the pinion shaft of the R&P (either that or welded 360). The pinion shaft connection is allowed a set screw with locking nut.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.
