using my timing light
timing mark on my 502 ramjet complete motor is jumping a good 10 degrees both sides of the base timing of 8 degrees it's not steady whats up

I'd check the basics first, did you pull the dist vacuum line & block it.( I've done that a few times. ) Does it have a roller cam ? Could be the cam walking back & forth a little , cam button or retainer ? Sounds more like a vacuum problem.Tomorrow is promised to no one.

Some ignition systems don`t play well with some timing lights.Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)
