I have a 1957 chevy 283 in a 54 chevy truck. All of the ignition is new. All of the fuel delivery to the new edlebrock is new. Engine starts and runs smooth at idle or high revs. After several minutes or 3 miles on road the fuel pressure begins to drop slowly from 5 inchs to 0 and the engine dies. Changing revs won't stop the pressure drop. Again, the fuel pump is new out of the box and all fuel lines are new. The tank is not air locked -- gas cap is off. Could this be anything but a faulty new pump?
