We have all gotten used to cruising rpms down in the 2000 range but for short periods the 4.11s aren't that bad, depending on the tire height. Back in the muscle car days we drove the crap out of 4.11s and 4.56s, probably not much at 80 on the freeway I suppose. I had a 66 Olds 442 with a 4 speed and 4.33s and it got down the road just fine, original engine made it well over 100,000 miles.
