The 68 bug I had,had a rubber boot that connected the top of the intake to the bottom. Well it split out on me and was dumping raw gas onto the block. I got the duct tape out of the hood and made a new boot out of tape for it. Worked pretty good and I didnt get around to ever fixin it better since after I got home the bugs #2 piston decided to come apart and take out the head.

My dad used lots of duct tape on cars, he used duck tape on fenders, intakes, mirrors, taillights and to keep water from coming up through the floorboards when they were rusted ( this was all a long time ago ). I saw someone use duct tape on a oil pan once, I belive it was a beater chevy truck with a 350 and he was rock crawling up by me ( state land ) and his truck was to low to the ground ( slightly lowered ) and he ran into a big rock with the oil pan. He got out and taped it up, dropped some oil in and kept on offroadin.

You guys have some creative uses for duct tape, ive used it to hold the master cylinder on my bike one day, i was out riding and lost the bolt, it was the only thing that eckerds had that i can use...
I see JB weld has been brought up, but other than JB the best quick fix item has to be Quick Steel, its a lot easier to apply than JB weld.
