Turn the crank around until both valves on #1 cylinder are closed and the piston is at TDC. Remove the rocker adjusting nuts, rocker arms and pushrods from #1. Shine a very strong light down one of the pushrod holes while you peer down the other pushrod hole. If it's a roller cam, you'll be able to see the sheet metal spider and dog bones.....looks like this....
