65 was the first year for the bbc you can use the steel cross over mounts to the frame up till gm went to the engine mount on the frame so up to 68 up to 70 will work as well. you need to get the bbc as low as you can if your using a flat hood your going to need a low intake .i have used the steel sbc mounts i just left the cross over mounts loose with the mounts not bolted to the frame. move the engine till it fits the best with the headers on if your useing them .when all were you want. it if you can bolt it up to the may holes in the cross over then you can. i have just welded them in . i have rework some 66 car s for the bbc not hard .yes you need to have the chevelle pan
