Help with Mustang II susp.

Hi,

I am building a custom rod w/4-wheel IS. I am ready to start fabricating my frame, but before I do so, I need to know what the dimensions of the Mustang II IFS are.

Specifically, I need to know the total distance from the lower control arm bushing center, to the hub face of a standard M II.

If somebody knows this or could take a quick measurement, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

If I understand you correctly, the hub face meaning where the wheel mounts?
I have a Heidts M II suspension on my 39, and it measures 16.75 from the lower control bushing center to the wheel mounting hub on standard Mustang II rotors.

Nutbush; I am doing the same thing as fromscratch.
I was wondering if the bushings they use in that front
end are a standerd bushing set or are they a special order.
You know only something you can get from Heidts
them selves?

Not sure about that. This is a new front end on my car and I have not had to order any parts yet. Lots of Heidts MII front ends out there and I would hope someone else with that suspension will chime in and answer that for you. Sorry I couldnt help.

Guys. If you use this one measurement, you will need every measurement for that particular front end. And you will have to use the same rack and pinion unit for this front end. You will wind up with the same hub face to hub face measurement as the '39. Will this work for your application?
