Brake Help
My 63 Nova has 4 wheel drum brakes that have been updated to early GM 5 stud hubs. The braking is not the best but it works fine.
My 32 kit car has new, early GM front and year manual disk brakes. I have to push much harder on the brakes to get grip compared to my Nova 4 wheel drums........
Where would I start in seeing what might be the matter?

true...you can pick up a booster in a junk yard and sand blast it to make it look new for about $30.00

I thought it was interesting my Nova has no booster and it requires about 40% less pressure. Just surprised that disk brakes require that much pressure over drum brakes.........

The pedal ratio is different, on the rod the master cylinder link is too far away from the pedal pivot point. Not enough leverage. See if you can move the link closer to the pivot. Don't go too far or you won't have enough stroke to make the master work right.
