Spark Plug Wraps
Just looked at the spark plug boots on my 350 with headers. Boots were covered with the double wall fiberglass boot covers, so they can't be seen. The boots (Mallory) were completely eaten away by the heat. Anyone use anything else or do I have to get ahold of NASA?

shorty plugs might help. I think accel makes them. Also, you can wrap the headers with thermotec.

I run thompson wires without boots and never had a heating issue. maybe you could look into different spark plug wires.

Hey Barb, where did you get those? I can't find them. A bootless plug wire might save me some time and effort ..............
Thanks, Kitz

I mis typed. i meant to say without wraps not boots. but my thompson wires have never failed.

This is the only car I ever had this problem with either. No issues on my Cobra, and I don't think I'd have an issue here if I had regular headers, but I have the Sanderson cast ones which are a little wider. Made a set of new Taylor wires and I'm gonna try these: http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?fo...action=product
