Mine is cable driven, and I have over $300 in mine, if my time is worth $5 an hour, and the damned thing still is off, needle bounces all over the place, but I ain't quit yet. I have invested in 2 cables, and 2 speedO heads, and lots of labor, not to mention the PBR's drank while working on it
